The Indian Railways has connected the city of Pune well with the rest of the country. The Pune railway station is the main railway station in Mumbai besides other station at Shivaji Nagar. Other cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Madras, Cochin, Delhi, Gwalior, Jhansi, Calcutta, Trivandrum, Varanasi are connected with Pune through express and super fast trains.

A train journey from Mumbai to Pune also takes about 3 hours.

Road
It takes about 3 hours to reach Pune from Mumbai by road. This has become possible because of the new expressway between Mumbai and Pune. You can take a private taxi or bus or a government bus to reach Pune.
