Introduction
End client is a US State licensing organization that issues licenses to individuals to conduct business in the area of architecture. This organization covers practices related to building architecture, plans etc. Licenses are valid for a year and have to be renewed every year for a fee. This system enables the process of licensing for individuals and firms sing web application and also provides back office operation support for organization.

Project Scope:

Project was divided in three modules.

The scope of Module I is restricted to licensing of individual Licensees.

The scope includes:

  1. Add, Delete, Modify, Renew, View Licensee information and Education History
  2. Multiple Search criteria to retrieve Licensees
  3. Tracking Fee Transactions with ability to retrieve the Transactions
  4. Setting Expiration Dates, Fees, Sequence Numbers
  5. Allowing staff to perform Batch Renewals of licenses
  6. Allowing Staff to Change Status of all Licensees
  7. Printing of Periodic Transaction Reports, Certificates, Labels, List of Licensees
  8. Migrating data from Access to SQL Server
  9. GUI Designs and Layouts
  10. Testing and Installation of the Application
  11. A Home Page design for www.elicensys.com

Modules II allows Licensing of Firms.
Module III allows managing of Applicants in same manner.

All components designed with maximum reusability in mind, as most of the Modules were repetitive in nature.

The System is robust and reliable since it deals with critical information related to licenses. This system is online from Jan 2002 and successfully handling transactions of thousands of Licensees.
